Call for Visiting Faculty – Woxsen University | 2026 Academic Year
Woxsen University invites applications from accomplished scholars, educators, and practitioners for its Visiting Faculty Program (2026). This initiative reflects Woxsen’s commitment to global academic exchange, interdisciplinary engagement, and innovative pedagogy within a fully residential university ecosystem.
Disciplines Invited
Applications are welcomed from the following areas:
· Business & Management: All disciplines
· Design: Product, Communication, Interaction, and allied fields
· Architecture & Planning: Architecture, Urban Design, Sustainable Planning
· Liberal Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences: All areas including Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, History, Literature, Political Science, Cultural Studies, Anthropology, etc.
· Law: Public Law, Corporate Law, International Law, Human Rights, Legal Theory
· Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Data Science
Tracks of Engagement
Applicants must self-select one primary track at the time of application:
1. Teaching Track
Visiting Faculty on the Teaching Track are expected to:
· Deliver courses, modules, studios, or intensive seminars aligned with their expertise
· Contribute to curriculum enrichment and pedagogical innovation
· Engage in student mentoring, workshops, or interdisciplinary teaching activities
2. Research Track
Visiting Faculty on the Research Track are expected to:
· Undertake independent or collaborative research with Woxsen faculty or research centres
· Contribute to scholarly outputs such as joint publications, working papers, or research proposals
· Participate in research seminars, colloquia, and academic discussions
Applicants must clearly indicate their chosen track (Teaching or Research) and provide a brief proposed plan of engagement aligned with the selected track.
Duration of Appointment
· Minimum duration: 15 days
· Maximum duration: 90 days
The exact period of residence will be mutually agreed upon based on academic requirements and availability.
Appointment Terms & Support
Selected Visiting Faculty will be provided with complimentary on-campus accommodation and meals for the full duration of their engagement, enabling full immersion in Woxsen University’s residential academic environment.
Please note that the Visiting Faculty Program is non-remunerative and does not include an honorarium or salary. The program is designed as a platform for academic exchange, research collaboration, curriculum enrichment, and global engagement, and may be particularly suitable for faculty on sabbatical, emeritus professors, independent scholars, or practitioners seeking a focused academic residency.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
· Hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent), or demonstrate significant professional distinction in their field
· Have a strong record of teaching excellence and/or research output
· Demonstrate commitment to academic rigor, student engagement, and interdisciplinary dialogue

Applicants should submit:
1. Cover Letter indicating discipline, selected track (Teaching or Research), preferred duration, and motivation
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
3. Statement of Proposed Engagement (1–2 pages) aligned with the selected track
4. Names and contact details of three referees
Important Dates
· Application Deadline: 30 April 2026
· Notification of Selection: 15 June 2026
· Engagement Period: From August/September 2026 onwards (flexible within the academic year)
