Regional Academic Exchange Program (MARCA)
The MARCA Program was developed and implemented by the Mercosur Education Sector to promote the improvement of academic quality through assessment and accreditation systems and academic exchange programs. Participating programs are undergraduate courses evaluated and approved by the Regional Accreditation System of Mercosur University Courses (ARCU-SUL) belonging to institutions of the four member countries (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) and associated with Bolivia and Chile. The program is administered by an agreement between various agencies of the member countries. In Brazil, CAPES (Administration of Higher Education Personnel Improvement) and the Ministry of Higher Education are responsible for the administration.
