- STUDENT VISA: In possession of UFU's acceptance letter, you must provide your student visa (VITEM IV) from the Brazilian consular office of your country. UFU does not accept students who do not have a student visa. For information on the visa process, click here.
- INTERNATIONAL HEALTH AND REPATRIATION INSURANCE: The purchase of international health and repatriation insurance valid throughout the duration of the exchange program is mandatory. Proof of insurance purchase must be sent to DRII before the beggining of the exchange.
- HOUSING: For information about available housing, please contact our interns by email: (estagiarios@dri.ufu.br).
- ONLINE DATA FORM: We will send you, by e-mail, the link to the online data form that must be filled out by the accepted student before arriving in Brazil.
- REGISTRATION AT UFU: After receiving the acceptance letter, you must answer our online data form and send DRII, by e-mail (international@ufu.br), the following documents in a single PDF file, so that we can arrange the registration: (1) student visa (ITEM IV); (2) visa application form; (3) health insurance policy. After arriving at UFU, the student also must send DRII: (4) CRNM request protocol; and (5) the stamp in the passport, issued by the Police.
- ARRIVING AT THE INSTITUTION: we recommend that you arrive in the city at least 7 days before the start of academic activities. Afterwards, present yourself to the DRII office so that we can provide you with guidance on the services offered by UFU and the visit to the Federal Police for visa regularization. The maximum period for requesting the National Migration Registry Card (CRNM) at the Immigration Police is 30 days. Afterwards, present yourself to the coordination of the undergraduate course in which you were accepted to check the subjects to be taken.
- INFORMATION ABOUT THE REQUEST: Required arrangements for all international students: (1) National Migration Registry Card (CRNM) and National Migratory Registry Card (RNM). Follow the step-by-step to provide the necessary registration.
- AFTER GOING TO THE FEDERAL POLICE: you must send to DRII, via Electronic Petition through the Electronic Information System (SEI), the 1) CRNM request protocol and 2) the stamp in the passport, both issued by the Federal Police.
- BUDDY PROGRAM - MIGUFU: If you are interested in benefiting from the MIGUFU Buddy Program, please send an e-mail to proint@dri.ufu.br and prointufu@gmail.com. For more information, access the PROINT page on the DRII website.
